Galilee Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center

Galilee Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center is a sanctuary cultivating compassion, curiosity, and community on Lake Tahoe.

We invite everyone to experience love for others, themselves, and God. We see the divine in everyone and celebrate differences of race, heritage, culture, gender identity, sexual identity, or circumstance. Galilee embraces everyone with open arms, dignity, and respect so that they return to their communities strengthened and empowered.

There is something important about fostering a lifetime of learning. Galilee provides programs and experiences to foster spiritual growth, curiosity about our own talents, and the value of people’s differences. All while being right on Lake Tahoe!

We recognize our community extends to all living beings and we demonstrate a reverence for all of creation through stewardship of our natural world.

ECW

ECW

Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, have championed women’s rights and the Christian foundation of God and family. They are a ministry of the Episcopal Church and celebrate that Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Their women’s ministry and children’s programs feed, educate, and provide community grants around the world. They are a volunteer organization that creates a legacy for Episcopal Church Women to lead future generations with stewardship in Christ.

Nevada is in Province VIII - the province of the Pacific, the province of the sea and sky, reaching across the Pacific from Taiwan, Micronesia, and Hawaii to rise up out of the sea into the sky in the Alaskan frontier.

From tropics to deserts, and from glacial peaks and tundra to the rich heritage of Navajoland, farmlands and fishing villages, we encompass 19 dioceses and 900 congregations.

Province VIII encourages collaboration amongst its dioceses and congregations in overcoming the challenges of distance, monies, language and the delightfully diverse cultures which the Episcopal Church as a whole embody.
