What I am reading…
The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green
First, the whole rating system of giving something so many stars is now ubiquitous in American culture. Almost to the point of my daughter rating dinner while we’re eating. “Nice job, Mother. 5 Stars!”
John Green, if you don’t know who he is, usually writes Young Adult novels. His most famous is The Fault in Our Stars, which, if you haven’t read it, stop right now and get it. It is fantastic. And it even has an Episcopal Church in it. They made it into a great movie.
This is John reviewing those things we humans have made and used in our time on earth. It started as a podcast and became a book. There is everything from Air Conditioning (two and half stars, if I remember correctly) to the movie Harvey (five stars).
Annie gave me this book. And she gave me The Fault in Our Stars. The chapters are short and you can easily read one or two before going to bed. This book is awesome.
